We want everyone to be able to use this website, including the Instant Quote, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has been designed and built with that standard in mind, and we will keep working towards it as the site develops.

What we aim for

  • Keyboard navigation: every page, menu and form, including the Instant Quote, should be usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text alternatives: meaningful images should have text descriptions, and decorative images should be hidden from screen readers.
  • Contrast and text size: text and controls should have enough colour contrast, and pages should still work when zoomed or with larger text settings.
  • Forms: every field should have a visible label, and error messages should explain what went wrong and how to fix it.
  • Structure: headings and page regions should be used consistently, so screen reader users can move around each page.

Known limitations

  • The embedded Google Map on the contact page is provided by a third party and may not be fully accessible. Our phone number and email address are the best way to reach us.
  • Uploading photos in the Instant Quote may be harder with some assistive technology. If you have difficulty, you can describe the job in words or email the photos to us instead.

If you find something on the site that is hard to use, please email info@ealingpainters.co.uk. It helps to include:

  • the address of the page;
  • what you were trying to do;
  • the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.

We will look into it and aim to fix problems where we can. If you need information from the site in a different format, ask and we will do our best to help.
